Teresa Nelson, ASLA, LEED AP BD+C, GRP
Teresa Nelson is a registered Landscape Architect and co-owner of Roof Top Sedums, LLC. Prior to owning and operating her own business, Teresa accumulated 12 years of experience working at several multi-disciplinary firms in Illinois and Michigan. As a Landscape Architect, she’s been a team member on a wide range of public and private sector projects, including park design, streetscapes, commercial and residential developments, and most recently, green roof designs. Her interaction with LiveRoof® in 2006 on a green roof design in Michigan led her to become a regional grower and promoter of green roof projects for LiveRoof LLC. Teresa spends most of her time sharing what she’s learned about green roof design, taking into account plant health, green roof longevity, and overall sustainability of the site.
Roxanne Nagel, Horticulturist, GRP
Roxanne Nagel is a co-owner of Roof Top Sedums, LLC. Most of her responsibilities are related to the administrative functions of the business and oversight of the growing of the fully vegetated modules for delivery to client sites.
Prior to becoming a co-owner of Roof Top Sedums, LLC, Roxanne obtained a BS in Horticulture from Iowa State University. As a college intern and during her post-graduate career, she held horticulture positions at sites such as Mid-American Growers, ISU Reiman Gardens, EPCOT Center at Walt Disney World, Pioneer Hybrid, HM Buckley and Sons, Inc., and The Growing Concern. Prior to Roof Top Sedums, LLC, she owned and managed a greenhouse operation that included bedding plants, mixed containers, cut flowers plus fruit and vegetable production. Roxanne’s knowledge as a horticulturist is invaluable to Roof Top Sedums’ clients.
