We are winding up another great growing season and getting ready to hunker down for another winter. Even though the plants are dormant, we are always busy working with exciting and innovative ways to design green roofs and green walls using the LiveRoof® Hybrid Green Roof System and the LiveWall® Vertical Greening System. The designs we see coming through the pipeline renew our passion for providing the very best performing vegetated systems. Roof Top Sedums is dedicated to ensuring your designs are realized, and we are confident LiveRoof® and LiveWall® will exceed client expectations.

NEW LIVEWALL® INDOOR SYSTEM, THE DRIP-FREE VERSION OF LIVEWALL®
LiveWall, LLC announced the introduction of LiveWall® Indoor, the interior version of LiveWall®, the living wall system transforms ordinary walls into vertical green landscapes. LiveWall® Indoor is a drip-free planted wall system engineered to sustain tropical plants indoors.

"As soon as we introduced LiveWall®, our customers asked us for a system that had the same natural function with water containment," said Dave MacKenzie, horticulturalist and president of LiveWall, LLC.

Recognizing the demand for a green wall system specifically suited to the needs of tropical plants and sensitive to protecting interior surfaces, MacKenzie and his team began developing and testing various concepts. To solve the need to protect interior surfaces, the LiveWall® Indoor System is watered by drip stakes in the soil instead of the mist nozzles used outdoors. Additionally, the wall planters have a rear drain which completely contains water used in the system.

LIVEWALL® SYSTEM RANKED TOP 25 OF 1,500 ENTRIES IN THE ARTPRIZE® COMPETITION
ArtPrize® is a radically open, independently organized annual international art competition with an unprecedented $200,000 top prize decided entirely by public vote. For 19 days, three square miles of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, became an open playing field where anyone can find a voice in the conversation about what is art and why it matters.

"Back to Eden" is a living entry tying the bonds between art, architecture and nature. Designed by Dave MacKenzie, the "Back to Eden" project is a living painting, with plants as the paint and the LiveWall® growing system as the canvas. The various colors and textures are tied together with a tendril of purple vining through the 11' x 130' canvas, for a whopping total of 1,430 square feet of gorgeous vertical vegetation.

ABOUT ROOF TOP SEDUMS
The seedlings for Roof Top Sedums were planted in 2006, when co-owner Teresa Nelson collaborated on a green roof project with LiveRoof® LLC in Michigan. This collaboration led Teresa and her sister, Roxanne Nagel, to fill a void in the growing green roof industry and Roof Top Sedums, LLC began providing custom grown green roof vegetation for the LiveRoof® Hybrid Green Roof System from their family farm in Davenport, Iowa. In addition, they have added the LiveWall® Vertical Green Wall System to their product line, and are excited to keep growing and growing!
